= BACKSTORY =
The Templar Knights are a revered and storied martial order who were the elite forces for the Star Traders during their most challenging conflict: the Galactic War against the Guild.
They are known for their 10-foot tall battle mechs known as Leviathan Battle Suits. Once designed for high-pressure environments and exploring gas giants and deep space, these mechs have now been modified for war.
Templars descend from a Zendu bloodline -- a unique heritage that gives them the ability (with proper training and ritual) to pass all of memories from their lives (and any memories passed down by their ancestors) to a newborn child. This memory gift is known as a Templar’s Lineage – and it is what gives Templars their immense advantage in combat, tactics, engineering, and the ability to drive hulking Leviathan Battle Suits. You will take on the role of a Templar Captain who hails from a storied Lineage reaching back 87 Templars -- and who pages back through the memories to help cope with the dire situation at hand.
With the Great Exodus coming to an end, the Star Traders founded new colonies on the few remaining habitable worlds. The Templar Knights are called upon once again to defend the Star Traders and their new colonies from an ancient threat.

Pros and cons of Templar Battleforce Elite app for iPhone and iPad
Templar Battleforce Elite app good for
I buy a lot of iPad games but dont write many reviews. This game deserves it though. The graphics and sound are a bit crude but the gameplay is outstanding. The freedom to try multiple strategies and customize your army is outstanding. I really enjoyed Xcom and Warhammer 40k Deathwatch, but this is much better on the iPad.
Fun turn based strategy game. I find its worth the price. Some missions are a bit tedious and you will fail, but just take a break and come back to it when your patience returns. Theres a large number of missions. Dont burn yourself out. The graphics are good but not great. Few animations and the xeno designs could use more work. They arent as varied and animated as the Templars. The skill tree is too large if you can believe it. Its difficult to track which Templars need a skill unlocked to upgrade them. I think a per-Templar skill tree would work better. Could use a skirmish mode with optional fixed skill points cap. It would be fun to check out the other Templar types and skills in a full battle. No crashes or major bugs, EXCEPT that sometimes the zoom/pan will stop working. It happens a lot. Might have something to do with app focus as I have an Air2 and use the multitasking support a lot. The only way to get it back is to relaunch the app. Keep up the good work bros. ;)
Where to start? A massive amount of excellent content. A rich, paced story that breaks just enough from 40k tropes to stay fresh while familiar. A retro low tech scifi aesthetic presented through tight, rich visuals. Engaging tactical gameplay with a myriad of difficulty options. A massive campaign of truly unique missions. Worth every penny, so glad to have made the purchase.
Ill be brief, because I want to go back playing:
-extremely well made character customization and progression. Spend hours fine tuning your squad. The games mechanics are deep and rewarding to master.
-high replay value due to ability to keep your squad and do multiple playthroughs once youre done (continue +)
-fast paced turn based game. Always be on the move and see how quick youre able to clear the missions. Optimize, optimize!
-excellent lore and art. Graphics do lovely to feel the battlefield.
-active community and INCREDIBLY responsive devs. Buy their games and they bring out extra updates, free, simple as that.
High quality Pc game in your hands, enough said.
Plenty of strategy, quality gameplay, lots of meaty updates, its great! This game is a guide to how a game should be!
Simply put, buy it. Easy to play, deep mechanics, nice backstory, perfect user interface, very clean 2D graphic. Also, very fast loading time that matched with the turn based game means you can play for five minutes in a row and still find it very enjoyable. Freakin awesome!
Some bad moments
Ive been playing this game since it was released on steam and Im really excited to get it on my phone. Its great, challenging, deep, and above all else the developers are clearly committed to their fans and improving their products and listening to feedback. I cant say enough good things about this game!
Best tbs since xcom. Deep strategy and squad customizing. Graphics are ok but it looks like snes and thats not a bad thing.
What gives this game more depth than I thought would be there, is that there are all of these "Talents" that can be upgraded. Certain characters have certain Talents. It is really quite fun.
Absolutely anyone who enjoys strategy and/or RPG titles should purchase this game. With multiple well-differentiated classes, an extensive tech tree, carefully designed missions with a great deal of variety, and an intriguing storyline to underpin it all, this game is a true gem. If you like FFT, buy it. If you like Banner Saga, buy it.
Oh heck, just buy it. You wont regret it!!!
Played on an iPad Air 2
Looks can be deceiving. Templar Battleforce is an excellent turn based strategy game. Reminds me of XCom meets Warhammer. The customization options are staggering.
Graphically and sound wise the game is serviceable but in turns of content and gameplay this game rivals current full prices alternatives.
Purchased this for 6.99 on November 4th 2015. Fully worth the price.
This ranks right up there with the very best TBS games available on the App Store. And possibly the best part is that it takes up such a small amount of memory on my device. Kudos to these developers
